Aryanne Maudit
Ary Maudit is a non-binary sound engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans both the studio and live music worlds. They have worked at renowned commercial recording facilities such as RAK, Ten87, and Strongroom, collecting credits with major artists including FKA twigs, Loyle Carner, Eland Cooper, Yungblud, and Nell Mescal. On the live stage, Ary has mixed performances for acclaimed acts such as Kae Tempest, Floating Points, and Sharon Van Etten, and has engineered at major festivals including Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds.
Alongside their engineering and production work, Ary is deeply committed to fostering equity and representation within the music industry. Since 2020, they have served as a mentor for Saffron Records, where they are passionate about supporting emerging talent and creating pathways for underrepresented voices. As part of this work, Ary has been a guest lecturer at Abbey Road Institute and has also taught music production for Saffron at SAE Institute. They are outspoken advocates for LGBTQIA+ rights and minority representation in audio, ensuring that inclusivity remains at the heart of their practice.
Their impact has been widely recognized: in 2024, IQ Magazine named them one of 20 worldwide pioneers reshaping the live business, and in 2025, they received an MPG nomination for Breakthrough Engineer of the Year.
A musician in their own right, Ary plays guitar and continues to integrate performance with their technical practice. Most recently, they founded Queers on Sound, a community dedicated to empowering queer, trans, and non-binary sound engineers. This initiative also led to the launch of their company, Audio QoS, which provides inclusive audio solutions and consulting with a focus on accessibility and representation.
